What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is… “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally” (Kabat Zinn, 1994, p. 4). Originating as part of Buddhist mind training to develop full human potential, Mindfulness programs have been developed in the west to assist in physical and mental wellbeing.
Why Practice Mindfulness?
Mindfulness programs are ideal for people wanting to be more present in their daily life, bring mindful awareness into their relationship to others as well as enhance their work life and leisure time. Mindfulness skills have also been scientifically proven to assist with reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
Benefits:
- Increased Relaxation and Inner Wellbeing.
- A more skilful relationship to Pleasant and Unpleasant experiences.
- Enhanced Quality of Life through mindful attention and reflection

Mantras and Kirtan
The power of mantra comes from not only our intention but also the sound vibration of the mantra. In this session you will learn the correct annunciation for the famous mantra “Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu”. We will chant this and other Loving Mantras for the benefit of all beings!
We will introduce some key articulation points and a number of simple one line mantras and kirtans for your personal use. This refined and intimate experience is for those interested in the power of sound energy vibration for purification and intentional purposes.
